Reviews and Awards for the previous vintage

"94 Points. If you like slighlty spicy shiraz line for this. A lively red offering pepper, blackberry and plums, ideal with rack of lamb.” Queensland Times, Peter Chapman, 2017

"The fragrant violets and black pepper bouquet has considerable appeal, and the restrained palate is balanced by fine tannins. A classy cool region style.  ★★★★" Winewise Magazine, July 2017

"90 Points. Perched 600 metres above and off vines nearly 20 years old, here's a fruit forward Shiraz offering good drinking. An easy drinking red. Nothing provocative here. Nothing to send you astray. Just a good solid wine. Dried cranberry fruit is met with some sweetish red plum and blackcurrant. Some dried herb aromas take a back seat - very much a fruit driven wine. A soft spice rolls through with a brick dust like tannin. Drink now to five years." QWine, 2017

"90 Points. This is a wine that certainly shows its cool climate roots on the nose with herbaceous, peppery dark plum and blackberry.  The palate starts with a wave of dark fruits, but as that wave subsides there is pepper, graphite and bitter dark chocolate with a touch of bitumen that adds dimension. There is plenty of grip and drive of dark berry fruits to finish with black plum lingering. I’d expect this to cellar well and continue to soften over time." The Winereviewer, June 2017

"Orange is on the Aussie Monopoly board now apparently so if you land on it, go directly to the fridge/cellar, do not pass, GO and grab one of these. 8.7/10" Max Crus, Border Mail, 2017

"Great depth of colour, lovely cool climate Shiraz aromas complete with a smidge of white pepper. A lovely mouthful of full bodied flavours, racy zippy with a nice tight finish that really lingers. A BLOODY RIPPER cool climate Shiraz." Wine Assist, Dan Traucki, June 2017
