Winemaking

For over 65 years the Crossing family have farmed the Angullong property which sits in the foothills of Mount Canobolas in the cool highlands of Orange.  The Crossing Reserve represents the best parcels of Shiraz from the vineyard. It is a wine of concentrated fruit, complexity and persistence of flavour.  It will reward careful cellaring.

The best Shiraz from the Angullong vineyard was fermented with a submerged cap with twice daily pump-overs to extract colour and flavour. The wine was then matured in French Oak for 12 months.

Awards & Reviews

James Halliday, Wine Companion:  "Good depth to the purple-crimson hue; medium-bodied, with a fragrant, spicy bouquet with both purple fruits and oak on parade, then a spicy/peppery/savoury dark-fruited palate with tannins ex fruit and oak. All up plenty to chew on. 92/100'
