2011 Angullong 'Fossil Hill' Chardonnay Pinot Noir



Wine Profile

Colour Pale golden with a fine, persistent bead.
Aroma  Citrus and apple aromas blended with the floral strawberry appeal of the Pinot Noir. Time on lees have given it attractive bready aromatics.
Palate  A taut youthful Chardonnay dominant palate with richness from the Pinot Noir. Extended bottle maturation on lees adds toasty complexity and depth of flavour.

Food Matches Great as an apperitif
Winemaking The grapes were harvested in separate parcels and fermented. The base wine was then blended and bottled for secondary fermentation in the traditional method. After three years in bottle the wine was disgorged with the dosage added (4gm) prior to release in December 2014
